Redefining What a Bike Tour Can Be

Most people visit San Antonio and stay in the same few places.

We built Mural Ride for everything outside of that.

Our mission is simple:
Show people a version of San Antonio that feels real, creative, and alive.

We believe:

  • Bikes make cities more human

  • Local voices make experiences better

  • Art helps you understand a place in a way guidebooks never will

Not here to check boxes.

We ride through neighborhoods, take in the art as it lives in the city, and actually get a feel for San Antonio.

If you’re looking for one of the most unique things to do in San Antonio, this is it.

Built by Someone Who Actually Lives This City

Brian | Founder Story

Mural Ride didn’t start as a business idea. It started with curiosity.

Brian — San Antonio native, cyclist, and street art enthusiast — kept finding himself in parts of the city most people never see. Places where walls speak, artists experiment, and culture shows up unfiltered.

The first time he saw a large-scale piece come together, it stuck. Not just the art, but the energy around it. The people. The conversations. The feeling that something important was happening in plain sight.

That turned into rides.
Those rides turned into routes.
Those routes turned into Mural Ride.

Today, Brian leads a team focused on creating one of the most engaging San Antonio bike tour experiences — one that blends art, movement, and local perspective without ever feeling scripted.

Meet the Guides

Not Just Guides. Local Storytellers.

Anyone can point at a wall and say, “That’s cool.”

Our guides help you understand what you’re looking at and how it fits into the city around it.

Each Mural Ride guide is deeply connected to San Antonio’s neighborhoods, trained to lead safe and smooth rides, and genuinely excited to share the city with you.

You might ride with Erika, who brings energy, perspective, and a strong sense of community to every tour. Or Aaron, who has a way of making each stop feel natural, not scripted.

No scripts. No lectures. Just good people showing you their city.

How We Explore the City

A Different Kind of San Antonio Tour

We’re not here to check off landmarks.

We ride through neighborhoods, take in the art where it actually lives, and show you a side of San Antonio most people miss.

On our San Antonio bike tours and walking tours, you’ll move through the East Side and the D.R.E.A.M. District, explore creative spaces, and stop when something’s worth slowing down for.

The routes aren’t locked in. The city changes, and so do we.

If you’re looking for a street art tour in San Antonio or a local experience that goes beyond the River Walk, this is it.

Our Role in the Street Art Community

We Don’t Own the Art. We Respect It.

The art you see across San Antonio belongs to the artists and the communities it lives in.

Our role is to help people experience it in a way that’s thoughtful and respectful.

We support organizations like the San Antonio Street Art Initiative (SASAI), highlight artists with care and accuracy, and encourage guests to engage with the city in a way that gives more than it takes.

We don’t create the art, and we don’t speak for the artists.

We create space for people to experience it.

Why This Experience Matters

This Is How You Actually Get to Know a City

Anyone can visit San Antonio.

Not everyone experiences it.

When you ride with us, the city starts to feel more personal. The neighborhoods connect. The art makes more sense in context.

You leave with more than photos. You leave with perspective.

And usually a few spots you’ll end up going back to later.

Not Just Guides. Local Storytellers.

Meet our Guides

Erika

Erika

Guide | Foodie | Bilingual Culture Connector

Born in Mexico City and proudly rooted in San Antonio, Erika brings energy, flavor, and heart to every ride.

She’s the person you want leading your tour if you care about where to eat after. Tacos, coffee, happy hour — she’s already got a running list in her head.

When she’s not co-leading tours, she’s cruising downtown on her e-bike, taking in the art, music, and everyday moments that make San Antonio feel alive.

Erika is also bilingual, which makes her a favorite for Spanish-speaking guests looking for a more personal and comfortable experience.

On tour, she makes the city feel approachable, fun, and real — like you’re exploring it with someone who actually lives it.

Pro tip: Ask her where to eat. Seriously.

Aaron

Aaron

Guide | Laid-Back Local | Future EMT

Aaron brings a calm, easygoing energy to every ride — the kind that makes you feel comfortable right away.

He’s been around Mural Ride longer than most guests realize. Aaron first rode with us as a teenager, started helping out in 2022, and has grown into one of those guides people specifically mention in reviews.

During the day, he’s working toward becoming an EMT, training in the mornings and getting ready for life on the back of an ambulance. That same focus and awareness shows up on tour — he’s attentive, steady, and always looking out for the group.

Outside of tours, Aaron’s usually checking out new restaurants popping up around San Antonio, always on the lookout for his next go-to spot.

On a ride with Aaron, things feel smooth, relaxed, and real — like exploring the city with someone who’s been part of it for a long time.

What to expect: A laid-back ride, thoughtful guidance, and a guide who genuinely has your back.

Adam

Adam

Guide | Small Business Owner | People Person

Adam brings a social, easygoing energy to every ride.

He’s a small business owner himself, running a car detailing business when he’s not out guiding tours. That entrepreneurial mindset shows up on the ride — he’s naturally curious, great at conversation, and always connecting with guests, especially fellow business owners.

Adam is also Aaron’s brother, and like him, he’s been around Mural Ride for years. He knows the flow, the neighborhoods, and how to make the experience feel relaxed and welcoming.

On most Sundays, you’ll find him watching Formula 1 or NASCAR, but on tour, he’s fully locked in — talking, laughing, and making sure everyone’s having a good time.

If you like meeting new people and having real conversations along the way, Adam’s your guy.

What to expect: A laid-back ride, great conversation, and someone who makes the whole experience feel easy from the start.

Sol

Sol

Guide | Community Storyteller | Southside Native

Born, raised, and still rooted in San Antonio’s Southside, Sol brings a deep sense of pride and connection to every ride.

She joined Mural Ride because it blends everything she loves — creativity, movement, and San Antonio culture. On tour, she focuses on helping guests feel connected to the city in a way that’s personal and real.

Sol has a natural way of connecting with people. She creates space for guests to slow down, take things in, and experience the city beyond the surface.

Outside of Mural Ride, she works with San Antonio Parks and Recreation on the Howard W. Peak Greenway Trail System, helping maintain the trails that connect the city, and stays active through running, yoga, and pickleball.

If you’re riding with Sol, expect a thoughtful, engaging experience that leaves you feeling inspired and connected.

What to expect: A grounded, energetic guide who makes the city feel personal.

Annette

Annette

Guide | Local Cyclist | Community Explorer

Annette is San Antonio through and through — and you can feel that the second you ride with her.

She first connected with Mural Ride through the SATX Social Ride, where she met Brian and Erika. What started as a shared love of biking turned into her helping guests experience the city in a way that feels local and real.

Annette genuinely loves being on her bike. It’s how she’s gotten to know the city — the streets, the art, and the people that give each neighborhood its character.

When she’s not guiding with us, you’ll also find her working with The Local, helping visitors get around downtown and explore different parts of San Antonio.

Outside of that, she enjoys bowling, firing up the grill, and keeping up with her Cowboys. Sundays are usually reserved — unless the Cowboys have a bye week.

On a ride with Annette, expect a fun, relaxed experience led by someone who truly enjoys showing people around her city.

What to expect: A smooth ride, local insight, and a guide who knows San Antonio from the seat of a bike.

Jeff

Jeff

There’s no Mural Ride without Jeff.

He’s the creator of the SATX Social Ride — one of the largest social bike rides in Texas, with a community that’s grown to thousands of riders across the city.

Jeff is recently retired, which mostly means he’s spending more time doing what he’s always loved — riding his bike, exploring new places, and staying connected to San Antonio’s cycling scene.

He’s our history guy. Always ready with a story, a detail, or a quick piece of context that adds another layer to what you’re seeing, without ever slowing the ride down.

He’s also a world traveler, a lifelong cyclist, and someone who genuinely enjoys being out in the city. And if you spend enough time around him, you’ll probably hear about his dogs — he’s a big dog guy.

Fun fact: Jeff was a tour guide back in college, so this isn’t new to him — it’s just something he’s come back to.

You’ll usually catch him on select rides (especially Fridays), and when you do, you’re getting someone who’s helped shape San Antonio’s cycling culture.

What to expect: A relaxed ride, a few great history nuggets, and a guide who’s been part of the city for years.

Here’s How We Show You the City

How We Explore San Antonio

Ride Through Real Neighborhoods

We explore the East Side and the D.R.E.A.M. District — where art, culture, and community show up in real ways.

See the Art Where It Lives

Not in a gallery. Not behind glass. Right where it was created — in the streets and spaces that shape the city.

Stop When It Matters

Some moments are planned. Others just happen. We slow down when something’s worth taking in.

Keep It Natural, Not Scripted

We talk about the art and the area around it in a way that feels like a conversation, not a lecture.

No Two Rides Are the Same

The city changes. The art evolves. Every ride reflects what’s happening in San Antonio right now.

Built for Visitors and Locals

Whether it’s your first time here or your hundredth, you’ll see something new.

Why This Experience Matters

Most people visit San Antonio and only see a small part of it.
This is a different way to experience the city — one that feels more connected, more local, and a lot more real.

It Feels More Personal

You’re not just passing through. You’re riding through neighborhoods, taking things in, and starting to see how the city actually fits together.

You Notice More

Details start to stand out — the art, the streets, the energy around you. Things most people miss become part of your experience.

It Doesn’t Feel Like a Tour

Somewhere along the way, it shifts. It starts to feel less like a guided experience and more like you’re just out exploring the city with someone who knows it well.

Ride the City. See It Differently.

If you’re looking for a different way to experience San Antonio, you’re in the right place.

Come ride with us, explore the city beyond the usual spots, and see what makes it all feel connected.
